I whipped up this little card for my neice's sweet 16 birthday.  Again, I'm stuck on the beautiful doily images on the Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge.  I used those on the front of this card cut at 4.5, 3.5, and 3 inches for the doily and backgrounds.  I used the Wildcard cartridge to create the lettering. I was able to weld my e's together using Cricut Design Studio.  I had been wanting to try to weld letters/images and this was my first easy attempt and YEAH!! it worked!  The beautful paper is from Cloud 9 design and the ribbon is from Offray.  I used some pearl stick-on accents from the dollar bin at Michaels.  The stamped images are clear stamps from Inkadinkadoo and I used Adirondack ink in Cabin Fever to stamp the images.  I finished the card by spraying it with sparkle Shimmer Spritz.  The inside message is cut using a border punch from Fiskars.  It includes the same stamped images as the outside of the card as well as the pearl accents.  All card components are put together using regular and pop-up Glue Dots.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful 4th of July!!

A Special Thank You

A lady I work with deserves this extra special thank you.  She goes above and beyond to help, even in very short notice.  She is such an asset to my workplace and I decided she needed a special thank you card.  Again, I am working with the black and white theme.  I used a precut white card with a piece of black cardstock as an overlay.  I then used the same effect when creating the tag.  I embellished the tag with my Fiskars border punch and a fancy black and white brad.  I found this wonderful "thank you" rubber stamp in the dollar bin at Michaels.  I added the metal embellishments with a couple of adhesive glue dots and then added a nice ribbon border.  The embellishments came from that wonderful scrapbook kit I received as a Christmas gift.  The ribbon is from the Ribbon Boutique.  I created another white on black tag for the inside of the card and added my special thank you message.  I think it turned into a very nice way to say "thank you".   Have a wonderful weekend!!   Patty

A Little Scrap of Ribbon.......

A little scrap of ribbon provided the inspiration for these two cards.  I had received the ribbon on a Christmas gift and the pack rat inside of me just did not dare to throw it away!! I think it made a nice embellishment for both cards.  I paired the ribbon up with the paper from My Minds Eye. The coordinating paper from their Wild Asparagus collection is just beautiful.  I used rub-on transfers for the wording from Colorbok and I used my Fiskars punch to create the decorative borders.  I continue to practice making the paper and cardstock flowers and I think they made a nice addition to these cards.  What do you think?

A Stormy Night for Crafting

Okay....we are having really bad winds and rain here tonight....our area is under a severe wind advisory. I just hate storms, so I decided to work on a couple more cards to keep my mind off of the weather! The first card is made using Heidi Grace word and note card embellishments. These are from the Glitter Punch-Outs stack. I used a Fiskars border punch on a sheet of pink Disney hearts paper as the background for the notecard. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart and the diamond studs were found in the dollar bin at Michaels. The background card paper is from the Paper Studio. I was lucky to find the glitzy pink, red, and white hearts at my local Dollar Tree!!


I made my second card simple but sweet. The card consists of pink and multi-striped paper from the Paper Studio. I sealed the connection between the two papers with a strip of adhesive ribbon from Martha Stewart. I then added a die-cut embellishment from HandMade Embellishments.
