This is my very first post to this blog. The extra snow days this year have provided me some ample time to work on some handmade Valentines. I love the DCWV Botanicals Stack. It contains some very beautiful and inspiring patterns. I've been able to coordinate this cardstock with some of the die-cuts from K&Company. The lovely florals, butterflies, and bees make me wish for spring!! I also just received my Cricut Gypsy.....I love the flexiblity of being able to design on the go and then cut once I am back at home. This seasons Spring Cards cartridge has granted me numerous possibilities!! I am also a huge fan of the Martha Stewart and Fiskars paper punches. They make for some beautiful borders! I have also found ways to incorporate designs from the Disney Mickey and Friends, Mother's Day, and Love Struck Cricut cartridges into my most recent cards. The Disney Mega Paper Stack has some cute coordinating papers useful for Valentine's Cards! I have also recently fell in love with Stickles. I love how this product does not "crinkle" up your paper like regular glitter and glue. Hope you liked browsing my first post and projects! Let me know what you think and for all of you seasoned card makers and scrappers please feel free to provide some constructive criticism!! Thanks.................Patty
The "Love You" card was created using white cardstock with a Studio G stamp and red and green Stickles to outline the stamp. The card also features ribbon from Seasons Bobbin Ribbon. The "birds" and "rabbits" love cards feature papers from the Disney Mega Papers Stack. The background for both cards was created using the Cricut Spring Cards cartridge.
The Disney Mickey "hugs to you" card was created using red cardstock accented with red and white striped cardstock obtained from the Martha Stewart School Days Multimedia pad. The Mickey cutout is from the Cricut Mickey and Friends cartridge. The paper heart doily was found at Hobby Lobby in their Seasonal Shop section. The extra hearts were created using red cardstock and a Fiskars small heart punch.
The "I Love You" card features a tag created from the Mother's Day Cricut cartridge. Maroon cardstock was embossed using a Sizzix embossing folder and Sizzix Texture Boutique machine. The lattice heart was created using the Love Struck Cricut cartridge. The doily border is from a Martha Stewart paper punch. The metal heart charm was found in a scrapbooking kit from Joann's. Accent papers are from the DCWV Once Upon a Time stack.
The "Be My Valentine" card was created using the DCWV Botanicals stack with a creme border made from a Fiskars paper punch. The wording is from the Cricut Wildcard cartridge and the extra butterfly embellishments are from Studio 112. I also used a little dab of red Stickles to accent the wording.
